Where it started:
Regular Horse and Hound forum user, Michelle (VelcrobumOvidius) placed a plea on the Horse and Hound forum asking for everyone to give up one luxury.
Smokers - give up that packet of cigarettes and send the money to a charity dealing with the horses, the price of a packet of cigarettes would pay for a bag of chaff or a bale of hay.
Bottle of wine in the evening - forfeit that and donate the money!!!
Update 6th February: Note to all people who still wish to donate or have donations still to be delivered: can you please contact your nearest regional centre - see left for website links for ILPH, Redwings and The Horse Trust.
The number of lorries available to Operation Esther on the 26th January were too few to allow collection of all donations made. Some volunteers have been making further deliveries since that date.
Update 1st February: Operation Esther continues with aid being sent to help sanctuary destroyed by fire: see News.
- If you would like to donate directly to Pepperstock please click link to visit their website
Update 28th January: The planned convoy of aid to the horses, deliverd supplies on the 26th January 2008, to Redwings, The ILPH and to The Horse Trust. Further deliveries have still to be made.
Everyone who has been involved in Operation Esther would like to express their sincere thanks to the many individuals and companies who have donated and offered their help. A few have been listed here.
The links to the ILPH, Redwings and The Horse Trust can be found on the left. All three would very much welcome further support. You will find their contact details on their individual websites.

With many thanks to you all from the Horse and Hound forum.
